How gay...

I'm confused as of why people persecute the gays/trans./etc...One of the biggest artist of pop culture (Adam Lambert: top left) is out of the closet flamboyant gay. There are those who judge him on it, dislike and all, but who would go out and openly flog the man? Security aside. In previous centuries it was not uncommon to see a man be undistinguishable from a woman in fashion. Fops, dandies, macaroni, and so on (example right) were men dressed to the finest. Going so far as to wear makeup like women and they were reverred for the wealth/power that the care and decadence of their attire showed. I don't know if that entirely meant they were gay but I have my suspicions. Clothing is one way we define whose gay and whose not. Back in the day if you had an ear pierced (boy) there was something wrong with you. If you had your head shaved (girl) something wrong. That was in style too. Pink not for boys slacks not for girls. Clothing really doesn't define sex anymore but people still juge the gay/lesbian/tranny community. Just how is their sexuality really hurting you? People say they get offended seeing two guys/girls kissing in public well a little FYI its not much better watching two people of the opposite sex going at it either. It was a huge problem in my highschool where couples were practically dry humping in the halls but God forbid if a guy/girl gives their respective spouse a peck on the cheek.

  1. I don't have much to say on this topic, but I agree with you one hundred percent. It was the same way at my high school, everyone was disgusted by the gay/lesbian population on my school which is ridiculous.
