Schools

I'm a big fanatic when it comes to schools and education. Lately on the news they've been telling about the budget cuts and how they are effecting schools. Dallas was reported as letting some hundred(s) of teachers go due to the lack of funding. Now in Texas there are a few ways to lose funding but most funding is handed out by test, such as the TAKS. If the school lost funding because of bad scores on this test what since does it make to cut teachers when obviously the kids aren't getting the knowledge anyway? Because once the teachers are cut the students will be forced to be in larger class sizes and if one teacher can't teach 20 kids how in the hell are they suppose to be able to handle 30 or 40? It's a vicious down-ward spiral. Give a test, kids didn't do to hot, take away teachers because of funding, test comes around again, kids did worse because of less one-on-one learning, punish more teachers by firing them, test comes around again...etcetera. Letting teachers go isn't solving the drooping learning curve it's only going to reinforce it. The next thing that will be happening is school closures, causing people to move, which causes certain cities to lose funding. That one teacher made all the difference in a social structure given the chance think of what a child could do with their teachings too.

Taylor/Kanye

I'm not sure who Taylor/Kanye are singing about but thay are each talking about an individual and not really the world at large.

With Taylor she sings to a 32 somehting person telling them to keep bekieving. Taylor never refers to herself but sings of that person the entire time. Taylor refers to how the world perceives how a 32 year old should act and play a role in the world. How the individual doesn't matter as much as the public at whole. Even after saying this she wants them to believe that they still are an individual. someone unique and beautiful as much so as when they were young and people took time out to pay attention to them, "Wasn't it beautiful when you bleieved in everything? And everybody beilieved in you?...". She implies that she well always be that person who take the time to flatter and pet them.

On the flip side Kanye si telling their audience to run away.Kanye takes the time to point out options available. He also speands time pointing out his own flaws, "Never was much of a romantic. I could never take the intimacy. And I know it did damage...". He care somewhat for the person he is singing to as that he longer wants to hurt them but refuses to take the initiative. Instead he wants them to leave him, to blame him. Kanye doesn't even hint that he will change he simply wants it all to stop.

both Taylor and Kanye point out that it is the person they are singing to hurting themselves. That the world is cruel but it is the individual who is allowing it to be cruel to them not so much the other way around.

It's a bleak output on the world but is it in someway true? "It can't hurt you unless you let it." There are things that may bother one person more than another but if it weren't for human need to protect, as much as it is in our nature to harm, the world would have fallen apart long ago. We all know the world spins, scientific fact, but a person's "own littled world" spins too. It's the only way to explain why time flies when having fun or when the world stops spinning when something devastating happens. But the world "keeps spinning". No matter how dark the times the sun always comes around again. It's that hope that knowing of the sun that guides us. That gets the 32 year old out of bed to try and the beaten down to have faith in those who need it even if they don't appreciate it.

How gay...

I'm confused as of why people persecute the gays/trans./etc...One of the biggest artist of pop culture (Adam Lambert: top left) is out of the closet flamboyant gay. There are those who judge him on it, dislike and all, but who would go out and openly flog the man? Security aside. In previous centuries it was not uncommon to see a man be undistinguishable from a woman in fashion. Fops, dandies, macaroni, and so on (example right) were men dressed to the finest. Going so far as to wear makeup like women and they were reverred for the wealth/power that the care and decadence of their attire showed. I don't know if that entirely meant they were gay but I have my suspicions. Clothing is one way we define whose gay and whose not. Back in the day if you had an ear pierced (boy) there was something wrong with you. If you had your head shaved (girl) something wrong. That was in style too. Pink not for boys slacks not for girls. Clothing really doesn't define sex anymore but people still juge the gay/lesbian/tranny community. Just how is their sexuality really hurting you? People say they get offended seeing two guys/girls kissing in public well a little FYI its not much better watching two people of the opposite sex going at it either. It was a huge problem in my highschool where couples were practically dry humping in the halls but God forbid if a guy/girl gives their respective spouse a peck on the cheek.

Okay yeah not the best picture but anywho. For those of you wondering who/what it is, the picture above is a character called a Spitter from Left 4 Dead 2. She's a perfect example of someone wearing something they reeeaaally shouldn't (given there's no telling if she looked like this before "infection"). But if you're proud of your body please by all means flaunt it just remember not everyone wants to see it. Have a respect for the people around (much like with teens/young adults) I DO NOT want to see your bum.... Can't make that clear enough. I grew up on hand-me-downs and thought it was the shit when little o'me got new cloths that were meant to fit just me. Are things so bad that adult men/women have to wear their children's cloths to save money? Which means that children have no choice but to use younger kids cloths or the neglected clothing of their parents (i.e baggy pants/to small shirts). Ahhh its all coming together, but it's no excuse.
